Lingual(Inner) Braces
Lingual braces are one of the most discreet treatment options available because the braces are fitted to the back surface of your teeth. This is a custom made treatment, using the most advance CAD/CAM technology. The outcome is tailor-made and you will be able to assess your final result before the braces are produced.
Lingual braces are highly effective at straightening teeth and are an ideal treatment option for adult patients who are self-conscious about having treatment or work in client-facing jobs.
Invisalign
Invisalign is the clear alternative to braces. It uses a series of clear plastic, removable aligners to straight your teeth. There is no need for brackets, wires or elastic bands like those used with traditional braces. You have to wear them 22 hours a day and only take them out to eat and brush or when attending important social meeting. Invisalign aligners are custom-made for arch patient. You will be advised to wear a set of aligners for two weeks, after which you’ll need to swap them for the next set in the series.
Every set of aligners move your teeth 0.25 mm. These aligners will gradually guide your teeth into their ideal position. The outcome is tailor-made and you will be able to assess your final result before the braces are produced.
Traditional Braces
Traditional braces are the most common devices used in orthodontics that align and straighten teeth and help position them with regard to a person's bite, while also aiming to improve dental health. They are made up of three parts: the bracket attached to the front surface of your teeth, metal archwires which connect these brackets, and small ligatures which hold the wire engaged to the brackets.
These parts work together to apply gentle pressure to your teeth to move them into position. Ceramic braces work in the same way as traditional metal braces do, but are more cosmetically pleasing. This is because the brackets are made from clear ceramic so aren’t as noticeable against the natural colour of your teeth.
Self Ligating / Low Friction Braces
Self ligating/Low friction braces are relative new. Their design incorporate a door to holds the wire in place removing the use of the elastics that traditional braces needs. Damon process is typically shorter than the traditional braces and due the low friction, the forces applied to move the teeth are friendlier and lights, which mean a more comfortable experience.
Damon Clear work in the same way as Damon (metallic), but are more cosmetically pleasing. This is because the brackets are made from clear ceramic so aren’t as noticeable against the natural colour of your teeth.
